Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service Specialist, a key role that drives the success of our retail operations. In this position, you will work closely with both wholesale and retail customers to assess their needs, provide expert insight into Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend tailored solutions. Your ability to swiftly resolve customer concerns will be crucial in ensuring maximum client satisfaction.
You will keep abreast of product features while upholding the highest quality and visual standards of our offerings and store environment. Your goal will be to deliver outstanding customer service while consistently achieving our store's sales goals.
This role involves regular contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash and valuable items, which may be supervised or unsupervised. Therefore, a review of criminal history is required for the safety of our customers, staff, and the overall integrity of our business.
Responsibilities include:
Providing exceptional customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Assisting customers in person and over the phone by identifying their needs and presenting suitable products and services.
Building trusting relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
Accurately processing sales transactions following company policies.
Meeting sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Maintaining organized work order files and product formulas.
Preparing and mixing products according to customer specifications.
Stocking shelves and creating appealing displays.
Ensuring cleanliness of store equipment.
Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
Assisting in deliveries as necessary.
Maintaining assigned areas in a stocked and visually appealing manner.
Staying knowledgeable about available products and discussing options with customers.
Complying with inventory control procedures.
Suggesting strategies to improve sales performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
Physical ability to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks, lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
Availability to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles.
Prior experience selling paint and related products.
Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is advantageous.
