Insurance Recruiter Services is now taking applications for this Executive level position with a Houston-based dynamic, fast-growing MGA and retail brokerage specializing in the real estate, construction, and hospitality sectors. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of Property and Casualty insurance management. In addition, the candidate must currently reside in the greater Houston area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and our portfolio of personal and commercial insurance accounts to maintain strong business relationships and ensure client satisfaction. You will play a vital role in managing and growing our agency. Responsibilities
Operational Strategy and Leadership:
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals and industry standards. Lead cross-departmental coordination to enhance service delivery and improve workflows. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify and execute on operational improvements. Process Improvement and Automation:
Identify bottlenecks in operational processes and propose innovative solutions. Work closely with the technology team to adopt and optimize insurance software for policy management, claims, and distribution. Oversee automation of repetitive tasks to improve accuracy and efficiency. Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and mentor operational staff to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and client service standards. Develop performance metrics and provide regular feedback to team members. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance industry. Conduct audits and monitor internal processes to mitigate risks. Client and Vendor Relationships:
Oversee vendor management for insurance carriers, wholesalers, and tech providers. Work closely with client-facing teams to ensure operational excellence in servicing clients. Reporting and Analytics:
Analyze operational data to measure efficiency, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making. Prepare regular reports for executive leadership on operational performance. Staff Management and Development:
Directly manage Account Management staff within the organization, including communicating expectations, monitoring performance, coaching, and taking corrective actions as needed. Achieve agency sales and retention goals by engaging staff and monitoring progress towards achieving goals. Serve as primary front-line HR manager, ensuring all HR processes, policies, and procedures are followed and administrative requirements met. Monitor staff performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met, taking corrective actions as needed. Manage staff days off calendars to ensure service continuity. Ensure appropriate staffing levels necessary to meet all operational and service goals, and recommend adjustments as needed. Participate in new employee selection process, including interviewing and making hiring recommendations. Prepare and deliver staff performance evaluations accurately and within required timeframes. Proactively recognize positive and negative staff performance trends and provide frequent coaching, consultation, encouragement, and praise. Provide initial/new hire and ongoing staff training. Encourage ongoing growth and professional development of all operations personnel within branch. Develop the next generation of branch operations leadership, including identifying and preparing succession candidates for Operations Supervisor roles. Actively promote IOA culture at all times, including initiation of and participation in staff level team building and other activities to continuously improve employee engagement. Quickly identify gaps and shortfalls in staff performance and proactively develop, communicate, and implement corrective actions to take. Continuously monitors and interprets staff performance data and reports (KPIs), and takes appropriate actions based on conclusions. Maintain frequent and transparent communication regarding staff performance and activities with branch operations leadership team. Develop, implement, improve, and ensure staff compliance with core work processes, including identifying and adopting best practices. Lead implementation and enforcement of all company work rules, standards, and policies and procedures among staff. Maintain high degree of technical competence and industry/market expertise. Ensure management/leadership skills are continuously improved by actively participating in internal/external professional development opportunities. Develop and maintain positive, productive relationships with IOA leadership, peers, co-workers, and employees. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
