Overview
Jerry.ai is looking for a Director, Business Operations & Strategy (Marketplace Growth) to help scale our core insurance business. We hit profitability in early 2024 and aim to scale from 5M to 50M customers and become a $10B business. In this high-visibility role, you will report to the VP of Insurance Operations and own the systems, strategy, and execution behind Jerry’s quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to create a seamless user experience and drive carrier success in our insurance marketplace (loss ratio, retention, and conversion). Jerry.ai is building the first super app to make car ownership affordable and accessible, including insurance, buy/sell, registration, loans, safety, repairs, and more — a $2T market in the U.S. Since 2019 we have launched additional capabilities and grown to over 5M customers, with $240M in funding and rapid revenue growth. Responsibilities
Own the systems, strategy, and execution behind the insurance marketplace, including quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to deliver a seamless user experience and drive key outcomes (loss ratio, retention, conversion). Develop and implement scalable operating models to support marketplace growth from 5M to 50M customers and toward a $10B business. Partner with senior leadership to shape strategy and execution for marketplace growth and profitability. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, etc.). 7+ years of management consulting experience from a top firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG preferred). Track record of hiring and managing high-performing teams. Who You Are
