The Assistant Manager is a full-time, hourly role. The Assistant Manager is a key holder for the store and serves as the manager on duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager or when demand requires it. The Assistant Manager assists in managing the operations of an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and achieve Monro’s performance and profitability goals. This position ensures all teammates deliver exceptional 5 Star service to guests, communicate vehicle issues and proposed solutions effectively, and meet guest expectations for time and quality. Responsibilities
Schedule guest appointments to optimize technician efficiency and timely completion of services/repairs. Assist in achieving sales goals by informing and recommending tire and service products and promotions. Attend to guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments. Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. Assist technicians in conveying repair and service needs to guests. Maintain store condition to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness. Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking. Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed. Organize store workflow to ensure efficient use of technician skills and timely completion of services in line with Monro standards. Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards. Follow safety policies and procedures. Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor. Compensation
Pay is $15-$23 hourly, based on experience. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of two years retail experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays ASE certification and State Inspection License (where applicable) preferred Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals Problem solving, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service skills Effective communication with teammates and guests Complete all Monro required training within guidelines and timing Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory MVR; ability to operate customer vehicles for test drives Profile Summary
Capable of basic automotive maintenance, repair, and tire services Ability to identify problems, collect data, and make practical decisions Ability to interpret and execute written, oral, and diagrammed instructions Excellent customer service, sales orientation, and communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt to changing business needs Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role operates in an automotive shop environment with moderate noise and exposure to chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for long periods. Benefits
