Principal Digital Product Manager; Dynamics 365 Supply Chain at Caterpillar Inc. This role supports the supply chain functional needs of the Caterpillar Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) template for Caterpillar Dealers, built using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM). What You Will Do

The Principal Digital Product Manager will partner with stakeholders to gather and define requirements that align with supply chain and operational goals. The product manager will coordinate with product development engineers to track and communicate design, development, support, and maintenance activities, and will drive continuous improvement to enhance supply chain operation efficiencies and reporting accuracy. Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and release plans for D365 Supply Chain aligned with business goals and SCM priorities. Supply Chain System Ownership: Own, prioritize, and manage the D365 Supply Chain product backlog with a focus on demand planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics optimization. Stay current with Microsoft D365 Supply Chain updates and recommend features that enhance dealer supply chain processes. Requirements Definition: Elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements; translate into actionable specifications. Partner with Microsoft and our Systems Implementation Partner to translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria tailored for our industry. Act as the voice of the Dealer throughout the development process. Delivery And Execution: Oversee the Supply Chain implementation to ensure it meets specifications and Caterpillar quality, security and usability standards. Participate in acceptance testing and training. Certify the product meets acceptance criteria and manage issues through release cycles. Demonstrate and create demo materials showcasing the CAT Supply Chain template functionality. Release Management: Coordinate and validate business requirements to support timely and high-quality software releases. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder communication. Manage release dependencies and alignment across teams. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Cat Digital leads, external vendors, and Caterpillar Dealers. Change Management: Identify opportunities to improve Dealer processes and drive operational consistency through the Supply Chain template; determine change management requirements for Dealers. User Training: Deliver user training programs, provide ongoing support, and address user issues or enhancement requests. Support: Produce product documentation with the Support team to ensure Dealer use and understanding; assist in resolving or remediating issues as needed. What You Will Have

ERP & Systems Knowledge

(MS Dynamics 365 Supply Chain focus) Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain (or related SCM platforms) in a product or process leadership role. Understanding of Supply Chain configuration, security, and integrations with related systems. Awareness of Microsoft release cycles and ability to assess new features for business value. Knowledge of Supply Chain product lifecycle management, including adoption and change management. Business Analysis Strong understanding of supply chain operations: demand planning, procurement, inventory optimization, warehouse workflows, transportation, and order fulfillment. Ability to identify gaps in SCM processes and design system-driven solutions. Experience supporting KPIs such as order accuracy, lead time reduction, and inventory turnover. Decision Making And Critical Thinking Analytical skills to interpret supply chain data/performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement. Ability to support SCM leadership with actionable insights for cost optimization and operational agility. Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Dynamics 365 dashboards) for supply chain performance. Effective Communications Ability to translate technical requirements into business-friendly terms. Facilitate workshops, demos, and discussions with supply chain, IT, and dealer stakeholders. Strong presentation and negotiation skills to align diverse stakeholders; collaborative approach to building consensus and driving adoption across departments. Software Problem Management Document resolution progress and provide feedback to customers. Describe issues and considerations for resolving problems involving other products or vendors. Track and resolve common problem types; follow proper notification and escalation procedures when needed. Software Product Business Knowledge Proven experience owning a product backlog, defining roadmaps, and managing releases. Skilled in writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria; capable of leading sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with cross-functional teams. Balance competing priorities and ensure alignment with business objectives. Considerations For Top Candidates Participates in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Experience as a Product Owner, Supply Chain Analyst, or Supply Chain Process Lead. Proven knowledge of supply chain and support processes: demand planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing automation, and order fulfillment. Familiarity with global dealer networks, manufacturing, or industrial supply chain operations best practices. Agile/Scrum experience with system enhancement delivery. Strong leadership in coordinating development, dependencies and risks for product delivery. Experience in Dealer and/or Rental industry is a plus. Additional Details

Ability to travel up to 20% - typically to Cat Digital hubs and/or Dealers in various regions Compensation

Summary Pay Range: $144,960.00 - $235,440.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar. Benefits
