Business Consulting - Healthcare Transformation - Manager - Patient Access Today’s healthcare environment is rapidly evolving. EY’s Health consulting practice helps healthcare organizations stabilize operations, plan for financially sustainable futures, and transform operations to meet evolving demands. As a Manager focused on provider operations and patient access, you will manage client engagement teams, work with diverse clients to deliver professional services, and support business development on strategic accounts. Responsibilities
Lead and manage client engagement teams across not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare clients, including hospitals, healthcare systems, physician practices, and academic medical centers. Assess and redesign clinical processes and lead provider operations improvement initiatives. Work across areas including operational improvement, benchmarking and financial quantification, cost reduction/revenue enhancement, workflow redesign, and patient access initiatives (template management, template optimization, scheduling algorithms). Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree with approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a master’s degree with approximately 4 years of related work experience. Approximately 4 years of healthcare consulting experience, preferably with prior experience as a manager (or above) in a consulting firm or in a management role within industry. Experience with patient access and centralized contact centers; ability to lead patient access initiatives including clinician management, template management, template optimization, referral management, and scheduling algorithms in ambulatory settings. Experience with centralization of patient access functions, including contact center staffing models and technology for various engagement channels. Ability to read and interpret hospital financial statements and contracts, use complex financial models, and map operational processes; experience with healthcare cost reduction planning and implementation. Experience with healthcare organization M&A, physician alignment, or financial margin improvement initiatives. Experience in selling and delivering projects that cover the full lifecycle from assessment to implementation; ability to generate revenue within existing clients and develop new prospects at the C-suite level. Ability to manage a team of staff/senior consulting professionals; strong collaboration, leadership, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel models, Visio scheduling/referral workflows, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel as required by client engagements.
