Business Consulting - Healthcare Transformation - Manager - Patient Access Base pay range: $128,400.00/yr - $235,300.00/yr EY aims to shape your future with confidence and help you succeed in a globally connected, diverse environment. This role operates within EY’s Health consulting practice, focusing on provider operations and patient access for healthcare clients across hospitals, healthcare systems, physician practices, and academic medical centers. Responsibilities
Manage client engagement teams and work with a wide variety of healthcare clients to deliver professional services and manage business development on strategic and global priority accounts. Collaborate with provider operations teams to assess and redesign clinical processes to improve operational performance. Lead areas such as operational improvement, benchmarking and financial quantification, cost reduction/revenue enhancement, workflow redesign, and patient access initiatives including template management, template optimization, and scheduling algorithms. Foster relationships with client personnel, deliver quality services on time and within budget, monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed. Cultivate and manage business development opportunities; develop long-term client relationships and networks. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in healthcare transformation for patient access. Be willing to travel to meet client needs (travel required as needed by the client). Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree with approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a master’s degree with approximately 4 years of related work experience. Approximately 4 years of healthcare consulting experience; prior experience as a manager (or above) preferred. Required experience with patient access and centralized contact centers. Ability to lead patient access initiatives including clinician management, template management, template optimization, referral management, and scheduling algorithms in ambulatory settings; experience in assessment, design, and implementation. Experience with centralization of patient access functions, including contact center staffing models and technology for various engagement channels. Ability to read and interpret hospital financial statements and contracts, utilize complex financial models, map operational processes, and participate in cost reduction planning and implementation. Experience with healthcare organization M&A, physician alignment, or financial margin improvement initiatives. Experience selling and delivering projects across the full life cycle of assessment, design, and implementation; ability to generate revenue in existing healthcare clients and develop new prospects at the C-level of large healthcare companies. Ability to manage a team of staff/senior consultants; collaborate effectively in a team environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel models, Visio scheduling and referral workflows, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel as required. Ideally you’ll have
