EY is hiring a hands-on Palantir Data Engineer – Manager for Consulting. Location: Open. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role focused on delivering data-driven insights and solutions for Industrials & Energy clients, with emphasis on Palantir Foundry and modern data platforms. Responsibilities

Understand and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Design, build, and operate scalable data architecture and data modeling solutions. Hands-on development using Palantir Foundry tools (Pipeline Builder, Workshop, AIP Agent Studio, Contour, Quiver) and related platforms; lead technical delivery. Advise clients on data strategies, governance, and modern data architecture aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of analysts, engineers, and data stewards; manage client relationships and engage with stakeholders across operations, IT, and executive leadership. Drive data literacy, training, and change management to embed a data-driven culture. Translate business initiatives into prioritized use cases with measurable ROI and manage delivery across multiple domains. Define and execute Data & AI strategy for Industrials, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas or Utilities clients. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures in collaboration with enterprise architects and IT. Oversee cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Hadoop) for ingestion, storage, and processing. Develop analytical models, data pipelines, and visualizations to solve business problems and generate insights. Engage with clients daily, lead working sessions, and identify opportunities for additional services. Develop resource plans and budgets for engagements and manage engagement economics. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics). Prior consulting experience or Industrials & Energy sector experience preferred. At least 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data governance, or data strategy (industrial, energy, or related sectors). At least 3 years of hands-on Palantir Foundry experience (Pipeline Builder, Workshop, AIP Agent Studio, Contour, Quiver, and related tools). Deep knowledge of data governance, data quality, stewardship, compliance, and policy creation. Experience designing and deploying scalable data architectures; proficiency with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Dataiku or similar. Expertise in advanced analytics, data science, and ML approaches to solve operational or financial challenges. Hands-on experience with big data and cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Hadoop). Ability to lead technical delivery and manage small teams; strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and building high-performing data teams; understanding of regulatory and data privacy implications in industrial/energy sectors. A valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel to client locations as needed. Preferred/Additional

Certifications in Palantir, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks or related platforms. Experience with Data Office Organization and IT Architecture; familiarity with Digital Fluency and Hybrid Collaboration techniques. Strong emotional agility and familiarity with machine learning concepts and industry best practices in data engineering. What We Offer

Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary ranges: $125,500 to $230,200 (US, all locations); $150,700 to $261,600 for NYC Metro, WA, and CA (excluding Sacramento). Total Rewards include medical and dental, pension and 401(k), and paid time off. Hybrid model: most client-serving roles require in-person collaboration 40-60% of the time over engagements.
