Overview

Business Development Coordinator - (Hybrid Schedule) role at Reed Smith LLP. The Business Development Coordinator will handle marketing administrative tasks, assist with business development tactics for the Corporate group and related practice teams, and support firmwide marketing and BD initiatives. This role involves coordinating client/prospect research and analysis, bio updates, graphic design requests, pitches and proposals, event/webinar coordination, social media and blog postings, client alerts, internal newsletters, and other internal communications and administrative needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can move work from idea to execution. Responsibilities

Support the Corporate Group Business Development Managers in various projects related to the Corporate practice group’s business development efforts. Support global Corporate Business Development Managers in executing business development and marketing efforts. Coordinate pitch materials, presentations and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs); assist with creating, editing and preparing materials for presentations. Interact with Corporate Group Leaders and attorneys to maintain strong working relationships and day-to-day interaction with lawyers in Corporate and related practice groups. Edit marketing collateral, including practice area descriptions and attorney biographies for print, website, and intranet; facilitate posting updates to firm website and intranet as required. Coordinate Corporate webinars, including scheduling and logistics, working with graphics and events teams to develop and disseminate invitations, and promoting via the firm’s digital and social channels. Prepare and edit drafts of industry survey submissions; maintain repositories of information on practice group accolades and awards. Coordinate Reed Smith’s participation in local and national conferences, including reservations, advertising materials, and sponsorship logistics. Assist in coordinating Reed Smith-hosted client seminars and events, including invitations, venue logistics, speaker coordination, event materials, promotion, and day-of needs. Manage attorney experience and client information in firmwide databases and CRM; help maintain industry group intranet sites. Assist with internal marketing materials such as monthly newsletters, mailing lists, internal blogs, and capabilities documents. Draft, edit and coordinate posts for the Corporate blog and Corporate social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter). Support group and strategy meeting agendas and presentations; prepare and circulate meeting summaries. All other duties as assigned. Education:

College degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field required. Experience:

2-4 years in a professional services marketing role is desirable but not required. Strong organizational, time management, writing skills, and a proactive work ethic; ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams. Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Technologically savvy and able to learn new database systems quickly. Extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Professional judgment and poise in interactions with internal and external contacts. Ability to build firmwide working relationships with individuals at all levels. Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills. You will be required to work in the office at minimum 3 days per week. Some overtime may be required; weekly schedule details will be discussed with the direct supervisor. Compensation

This is a non-exempt position. The hourly wage range for this role is $33.00 to $37.50, with an estimated annual compensation range of $68,000 to $78,000, based on expected hours. Pay may vary by location and experience. Chicago-specific information: $68,000 ($33/hr) - $78,000 ($37.50/hr). Benefits Overview
