This role, based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, is vital in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial component of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to reach global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, providing an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. It is a vital part of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system\'s current and future capabilities. The primary responsibility of this role is to work as part of the C28MC-G test team, testing the C2BMC-G product and its interactions with external entities. This includes verifying and validating the C2BMC-G product through various testing activities, coordinating with external partners for system-to-system tests, collaborating with Development teams to understand system improvements, testing the C2BMC-G product against requirements, identifying and verifying bugs, and participating in system-of-system test events to confirm the product\'s functionality. You will analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and work to enhance the C2BMC-G product for future use. This position may require irregular work hours during testing events and occasional travel, though travel is expected to be limited. The role is crucial in ensuring the C2BMC-G product meets the required standards and functions as intended. Essential Functions

Experience in engineering new capabilities, including design and development Testing and integrating complex systems Ability to create detailed and repeatable tests to validate system performance and functionality, ensuring compliance with requirements and specifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to a variety of stakeholders, including developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and system users Strong understanding of system development processes and principles, including the ability to communicate desired capabilities and requirements to stakeholders, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing requirements, design challenges, and tight deadlines, while developing innovative solutions to complex technical problems Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical approaches and findings. Proficiency in developing and executing test plans to support project goals Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with SCI eligibility Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs The primary work location is the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) at Schriever SFB, CO, with potential travel to COS-83 Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive solutions throughout the entire system\'s development life cycle A proven track record of delivering results across all aspects of the System Engineers \"V\", with an emphasis on testing complex systems against specified requirements and warfighter needs Proficiency in creating and implementing test plans to achieve project objectives Preferred Qualifications

Applicants with a current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) are highly desired Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration Knowledge of software architecture design Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows and Unix/Linux Ability to review and provide feedback on code (peer reviews) Basic data analysis skills Understanding of algorithms and how to implement them Experience with messaging interface development Knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS), Command and Control (C2) systems, track correlation algorithms, Link-16 protocols Experience with commercial and open-source software Basic understanding of Agile development methodology What We Can Offer You

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
