The CDI is the consumer protection agency for the nation\'s largest insurance marketplace and safeguards all of the state’s consumers by fairly regulating the insurance industry. CDI oversees more than 1,400 insurance companies and licenses more than 425,000 agents, brokers, adjusters, and business entities. Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Special Counsel to the Commissioner (Special Counsel)/Deputy Commissioner for the Office of the Special Counsel (OSC), the Staff Services Manager III (SSM III) serves as Chief of the OSC with full management, supervisory leadership and strategic oversight for the OSC. The incumbent is responsible for high-level strategic consultation and technical expertise, comprehensive rulemaking management as well as strategic coordination of engagement between CDI, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS). The appointee is required to complete a Statement of Economic Interest (Form 700), including an Assuming Office filing within 30 days of appointment, annual filings, and a Leaving Office filing within 30 days of separation.
