Overview Senior/Accountant level responsibilities focusing on month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities for Chopard USA Ltd.

Responsibilities

Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform detailed reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis.

General Ledger Management: Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring accurate classification and posting of transactions. Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues in a timely manner.

Intercompany Accounting: Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, ensuring compliance with internal policies and U.S. GAAP.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards (U.S. GAAP).

Technical Accounting: Apply advanced technical accounting skills to complex transactions and consolidation instructions.

Budget & Forecast Support: Assist with budgeting and forecasting cycles, including preparing schedules and analyses.

Sales Tax: Prepare sales tax compliance, including analysis, reporting, and remittance of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns. Track nexus compliance, address notices from tax authorities, and lead responses to sales tax audits.

Income Tax: Prepare schedules for income tax filings and process payments to federal, state, and local authorities in coordination with external tax preparers.

Other Taxes: Prepare schedules and remit payments for tangible property tax, commercial rent tax, and other business-related taxes as required.

Audit Support: Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and implement automation where possible. Research and adopt best practices to strengthen internal processes.

Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects, analysis, and other duties as assigned.
