Contract or Contract-to-Hire, Remote, Full-Time (40 hours per week) LHH is partnering with a reputable boutique law firm in Los Alamitos, CA that focuses on complex business litigation, including product warranty defense, contract disputes, and commercial claims. The firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate for a long-term contract or contract-to-hire opportunity. This role offers the flexibility of being fully remote, but candidates must reside in Southern California to handle court appearances or depositions as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to join a lean, high-performing litigation team handling challenging and impactful business disputes.
Responsibilities
Handle a caseload focused on product warranty defense and other business litigation matters
Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, and motions
Appear in court and handle case management conferences, law and motion hearings, or depositions as needed
Collaborate with supervising attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategy and ensure timely case progress
Prepare detailed legal analysis and client communications
Qualifications
2+ years of litigation defense experience (product warranty or business litigation experience is a plus)
California Bar license required and in good standing
Must be located in Southern California and available to attend in-person appearances when necessary
Prior court appearance and/or deposition experience strongly preferred
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
