Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney
to lead a practice in Columbia, SC. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity for a self-driven litigator with at least two years of experience—and ideally a partial book of business—to help expand the firm's South Carolina footprint. Responsibilities
Represent employers and insurers in all stages of workers' comp claims Handle hearings, depositions, mediations, and appeals independently Draft motions, legal memoranda, and client-facing reports Collaborate with partners in other offices to drive business development Act as the point person for the Columbia office with autonomy and leadership Qualifications
JD from an ABA-accredited law school Active license to practice in South Carolina At least 2 years of experience in workers' comp defense or related litigation Ability to work independently and manage a growing caseload Strong interest in business development and client cultivation Nice-to-Haves
Dual bar admission in South Carolina and North Carolina Existing or partial book of business Comfort operating as the lead attorney in a smaller office environment Willingness to collaborate with remote partners on strategic growth This Role Offers
Base salary from $90,000 to $120,000, depending on experience and book Bonuses tied to billables and/or revenue generated, with no hard cap Comprehensive health benefits and 401(k) with 3% match Collegial firm culture that prioritizes autonomy, flexibility, and growth Support from neighboring offices and experienced litigation partners
