This role requires analytical strength, attention to detail, open communication, and the ability to work autonomously. Role summary:
The Logistics Manager is a strategic leadership role that partners with Infrastructure teams and Amazon stakeholders to manage communication, team metrics, and specific deliverables. The position demands urgency, sound judgment, and the ability to drive teams toward innovation and simplification across local, regional, and cross-regional scales. As both strategist and implementer, they ensure streamlined activities that guarantee business success while developing and coaching team members to make effective decisions and improve organizational culture. Leadership expectations:
Establish and maintain a culture of accountability. Ensure team members understand their roles, expectations, and impact on broader goals. Demonstrate escalation management, consensus building, and the ability to set vision and direction. Design optimal team structures and mechanisms to meet immediate and long-term objectives while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Balance tactical operations with strategic planning, focusing on measurable outcomes, data-driven decisions, and policy compliance. Improve customer experience, deliverable quality, and team environment through root cause resolution, automation, and project prioritization. Key responsibilities Logistics Operations Leader:
Guarantee smooth daily, monthly, and yearly operations to meet customer and business needs. Develop performance goals, build productivity plans, balance labor, determine timelines, partner with management to maintain quality control standards, and remove roadblocks for major initiatives. Logistics Business Leader:
Act as the primary point of contact for communication and escalation with internal/external teams and customers; develop team strategies, vision, and goals; ensure compliance with legislation and policy; translate information from management to teams; create and manage recognition and communication programs. Logistics People Leader:
Manage staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and performance; foster team coordination and growth; support projects beyond day-to-day operations; fairly distribute opportunities; conduct regular 1:1s focused on development; ensure accountability and documentation; open requisitions and raise the bar with internal hires. Process Improver:
Drive continuous improvement, standardize processes, contribute to deployment plans, teach documentation and metrics, conduct post-deployment evaluations, and advise on improvement strategies. Audits:
Conduct monthly audits using a standardized checklist. Meetings:
Lead team meetings; may represent Logistics locally and/or globally. Travel:
Travel between sites and across the cluster as needed. Note:

Information: The base pay ranges from $113,600/year to $185,000/year depending on location and experience.
