What You Will Do
Manages and executes the Company’s sales growth strategies for the assigned division and supervises field sales representatives within their division. Develops short- and long-range plans and programs, pursuing partnerships with well-aligned customers, deepening relationships with current customers, and maximizing retail partnerships. Directs planning, organization, and direction of activities for the sales function to maximize sales volume, drive profitable growth, and professionally develop sales staff. Develop individual team members to improve skills, capabilities, and performance. Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment while directing Sales Reps; motivate the team to deliver executional excellence. Model persuasive selling skills and optimal coverage designs to enable success for Sales Reps; make personnel decisions with input from HR partners where applicable. Develop strong partnerships with retail customers across the Division; identify opportunities within the Division and provide input to Region on areas for improved results. Influence retailers to support Company strategies and initiatives; align Company and consumer perspectives. Develop selling plans with retailers and implement conceptual selling across Company product categories. Demonstrate product/industry knowledge to support the team and Division; collaborate with Region resources to identify sales opportunities that drive performance. Direct quarterly/monthly cycles of key sales initiative deployment for the team and Division; deliver assigned retail execution objectives and key company priorities. Analyze Division insights to maximize selling and executional impact; identify win-win solutions for Company and customers. Ensure alignment to retail cycle plan coverage objectives; optimize coverage designs to meet productivity objectives; ensure placement of merchandising fixtures/displays for a competitive merchandising advantage. Ensure compliance with retail partnership agreements and maintain promotional programs and competitive pricing initiatives. Foster best-practice approaches across Area, Region, Division, and internal teams to improve business performance; report customer and competitor insights to senior leaders. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years related sales experience. Experience driving sales performance in a team environment; experience in business-to-business account selling. Must be 21 years of age or older; must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence. Knowledge: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams. Skills: Verbal and written communication; attention to detail; problem/situation analysis; effective time and task management; multitasking; flexibility and adaptability. Ability to deliver on Division KPIs, drive best practices across sales plans and coverage, and report on quarterly/monthly measurements. Ability to build strong business relationships with customers. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. 1+ years direct supervision/managerial experience.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Employee must live within the boundary of the assignment or be willing to relocate. Moderate physical effort; occasional lifting of light objects (10–50 lbs). Ability to bend, crouch, stretch, climb, or reach in retail environments. Walk, sit, or stand for extended periods; travel required based on assignment needs. Occasional exposure to noise, dust, or weather; operates in a retail/wholesale environment.
