Overview National Sales Director – Digital Retail at S&P Global Mobility and Market Scan Partnership. The role is to develop, orchestrate and deliver go-to-market program strategies to increase the adoption of Market Scan products in the US automotive industry. The position works with executive teams to build Digital Retail partnerships, strengthen the value proposition, create market awareness, contribute to the product roadmap, and generate new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Lead revenue growth and retention for the Digital Retail business with full relationship management for designated accounts, including automotive OEMs, digital retail startups, DMS providers, CRM companies, dealership groups, and major online retailers.

Define overall strategy, collaborate on marketing integrations, and demonstrate the value of Market Scan Sales and Marketing platform.

Possess and leverage an established network of C-Suite and Digital Retail leaders; build a growing network of new relationships.

Deliver revenue objectives associated with Market Scan sales and retention; promote adoption with Digital Retail accounts.

Demonstrate product technology expertise and ability to demo Market Scan products for prospects; oversee product and technical integration after the sale.

Oversee process integration after the sale; support dealer rollout and product pilot scope, requirements, and launch with partners.

Manage contract terms and conditions; develop and maintain account plans for assigned accounts.

Develop, track, and report business statistics and KPIs; apply strategic selling processes.

Strategy and Capabilities

Develops and executes strategic business plans aligned with Company objectives.

Assess market dynamics, competitive landscape, and opportunities to inform product development with customer feedback.

Maintain current knowledge of product, industry, and competitors; articulate the S&P Global Mobility and Market Scan value proposition.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or higher in sales, marketing, or business; at least 10 years of B2B direct consultative selling, account management, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 10 years in automotive digital retail or related experience.

Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including nationwide travel.

Extensive and progressive experience in software sales or automotive.

Proven track record in achieving sales targets and executing broad-based solutions selling.

Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage multiple relationships in a matrixed organization with accountability for engagement and revenue goals.

Ability to cultivate C-suite relationships and engage senior leadership.

Excellent written and spoken communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently or with a team in less structured environments; detail-oriented and results-driven.

History of developing and leading partner go-to-market plans and multiple strategic sales initiatives through relationships.

Proficiency in understanding value proposition and sales processes; proactive in seeking feedback and resolving issues constructively.

Willingness to travel up to 50% nationally as needed; remote work acceptable with regular travel to Detroit, MI and client locations; attendance at relevant automotive events as required.
