About The Role

National Sales Director – Digital Retail at S&P Global. We are looking for a seasoned Director of National Digital Retail Sales to develop, orchestrate and deliver go-to-market program strategies to increase the adoption of Market Scan products in the US automotive industry. This highly visible role will work with the executive teams of S&P Global Mobility and Market Scan to build Digital Retail partnerships, strengthen our value proposition, create broader market awareness, provide a critical voice into our robust product roadmap, and generate new business opportunities. Responsibilities

Sales leadership and business development to contribute to revenue, margins, growth, and retention of the Digital Retail business. Full relationship management for designated accounts, including automotive OEMs, automotive digital retail start-ups, dealership management systems providers, CRM companies, automotive dealership groups, and major online retailers. Understand the Digital Retail business, goals, strategies, and how they map to S&P Global Mobility & Market Scan products and solutions. Define overall strategy, collaborate on marketing integrations, and demonstrate the value of Market Scan Sales and Marketing platform. Proven ability to cultivate C-suite and senior Digital Retail relationships; build and expand a growing network of contacts. Sales Requirements

Deliver revenue objectives for Market Scan sales and retention. Promote Market Scan and S&P Global Mobility adoption with Digital Retail accounts. Product technology expertise with the ability to demo Market Scan products for prospective clients. Oversee product and technical integration after the sale and manage process integration. Support dealer roll-out and pilot phases with partners on scope, requirements, and launch. Manage terms and conditions of contracts and operate with autonomy and accountability. Develop, track, and report business management statistics and KPIs. Understand and apply a strategic selling process and maintain account plans for assigned accounts. Strategy Requirements

Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with company objectives. Analyze internal/external market dynamics affecting prospects/clients; provide feedback to product teams on customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive assessments. Stay current with product, industry, and competitive knowledge; contribute to new product development as the voice of the customer. Articulate the S&P Global Mobility and Market Scan value proposition. What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree or higher in sales, marketing, or business; at least 10 years of B2B direct selling, account management, or equivalent. Minimum 10 years of automotive digital retail or related experience. Ability to travel up to 50% nationally; comfortable with nationwide travel. Extensive experience in software sales or automotive sectors; proven track record. Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple relationships in a matrixed environment and demonstrate accountability for engagement and revenue goals. Strong C-suite relationship skills, communication, and presentation abilities. Independent working style with the ability to operate in unstructured contexts and manage day-to-day activities. Data- and results-driven, detail-oriented, and a proactive self-starter with successful sales targets and solutions selling experience. Demonstrated leadership and change-management capabilities; track record in partner go-to-market initiatives and strategic sales leadership. Ability to develop customer relationships and adapt to change quickly. This role requires up to 50% travel nationally. Candidate can live and work remotely and must be able to travel to Detroit, MI and client locations. Expect attendance at industry conferences as needed. About S&P Global Mobility
