Senior HVAC Design Engineer

Provide engineered drawings for HVAC control systems and review specifications and contract drawings for assigned projects. Produce accurate drawings for HVAC control systems and schematics using AutoCAD. Size control valves, dampers, air flow stations, and related components for HVAC systems. Design systems with typical DDC control lines (e.g., Schneider Electric, Tridium, or similar). Write and understand the sequence of operations for HVAC control systems and assemble submittals and O&Ms for projects. Mentor and guide junior design engineers to support their growth within the team. What Are We Looking For
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or other STEM field with 3-5 years of relevant experience. 4+ years of experience in controls design engineering, or 8+ years as a controls technician. Solid knowledge of electrical circuits, HVAC, sensors and signal types, and controls required. Familiarity with common control sequences including ASHRAE Guideline 36P. Demonstrated ability drafting control drawings in Visio, AutoCAD, or equivalent. Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite. Ability to manage a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Additional Skills Preferred But Not Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or other STEM field with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Experience designing control systems using Schneider Electric EcoStruxure and SpaceLogic. Working knowledge of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, and fire alarm systems. Benefits
