Senior Manager, Technology Strategy & Operations

who will play a pivotal role in shaping VB Spine’s technology direction, driving operational excellence, and ensuring IT initiatives align with business priorities. In the post-divestiture environment, this leader will establish independent systems, optimize processes, and introduce modern, scalable solutions. Acting as the head of IT governance and operations, the role blends strategic vision, operational discipline, financial oversight, and hands-on program management in a regulated med-tech setting. What You’ll Do: Partner with IT and business leadership to define a multi-year technology roadmap that supports corporate growth, innovation, and compliance. Assess emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Align infrastructure, applications, and security initiatives with the overall business transformation plan. Drive continuous improvement by evaluating emerging technologies (automation, AI/ML, predictive analytics) and modern IT operating models. Operational Excellence Lead IT operational planning, ensuring projects and services are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Oversee IT resource and demand processes in collaboration with the business to drive consistency, efficiency, and quality. Implement metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor performance, SLAs, and ROI for technology investments. Manage IT budgets, financial controls, and vendor spend optimization to ensure cost efficiency. Post-Divestiture Manage the separation of shared systems, services, and contracts into a standalone technology environment. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless cutovers, minimal disruption, and effective change management. Establish governance processes for IT decision-making, resource allocation, and project prioritization. Lead organizational change management (communications, training, adoption) to ensure smooth transitions to new systems and processes. Cross Functional Collaboration Act as the primary liaison between IT, business units, and vendors for strategic and operational initiatives. Facilitate technology steering committees, status reviews, and executive briefings. Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability across IT and business teams. Leadership & Team Development Build and manage a lean global team, leveraging vendor/partner resources where appropriate. Support succession planning and talent development aligned with business needs. What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or related field Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or related disciplines are strongly preferred 5+ years of progressive IT leadership or technology program management experience. Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies in regulated industries (medical device, life sciences preferred). Hands-on experience with IT operations, governance, and vendor management. Demonstrated success in leading technology transformations during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities. Compensation: Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performance taken into account. Final compensation is determined on acase-by-case basisand considers a variety of factors, including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
