well-established Mechanical Contractor
to hire a dynamic
Vice President of Preconstruction
to lead their growing team in
Miami, FL . Role Overview:
The VP of Preconstruction will oversee all preconstruction efforts, from early client engagement through final project handoff. This leader will build and mentor a strong estimating and preconstruction team, drive pursuit strategies, and work closely with clients, designers, and internal teams to ensure accurate budgets, proposals, and project planning. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all preconstruction and estimating functions for large-scale mechanical projects Develop pursuit strategies and support business development efforts to secure new work Build and mentor a high-performing preconstruction team Drive collaboration with operations, engineering, and executive leadership Ensure preconstruction deliverables (budgets, schedules, estimates) meet accuracy and quality standards Represent the company with clients, partners, and industry organizations Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 5+ in a senior leadership role Proven track record leading estimating/preconstruction teams on large-scale commercial or institutional projects Strong client-facing skills with ability to lead pursuits and presentations Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus) Ability to relocate to Miami (relocation assistance available) The base pay range for this position is $180,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr.
