Responsibilities
Recruiting your team
Training and developing your management team
Training and developing your team on brand, product, and service
Customer Service: collaborate with your team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique, inclusive customer experience
Building the Brand: educate customers and staff on brand values and our positions on animal testing, ethical buying, and packaging
Product Passion: deepen product knowledge and provide informed recommendations
Driving Sales: develop and execute business plans to achieve short- and long-term goals and improve KPIs
Leadership and Staff Development: coach and develop the team, create development plans, and provide constructive feedback
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: foster an inclusive environment with DEIB initiatives
Engagement and Performance: address performance concerns with empathy and action plans
Recruitment and Selection: build a diverse team and ensure transparent interview and promotion practices
Operational Excellence
Policies and Procedures: ensure training, compliance with time and attendance, breaks, safety, and budget adherence
Stock and Inventory: manage orders, inventory, waste, and rotation using reporting tools within budget
Visuals and Merchandising: implement merchandising plans and maintain a clean, engaging store environment
Scheduling, Time, and Attendance: staff appropriately for peak times while respecting wellbeing and payroll within labor budget
Qualifications Required:
3-5 years managing in a retail environment
Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, and performance management
Excellent listening and communication skills
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
Strong customer service, supervisory and sales skills
Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends
Preferred:
Experience with consultation-based customer service models
Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback
Proven track record of developing retail staff careers
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and adaptable to other systems
Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages
Compensation Wellington Green Pay:
$55,800
