Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a PROGRAM MANAGER - IT to join our BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE team. The IT Program Manager ensures that all programs within their assigned responsible area deliver desirable outcomes for the organization. This role provides strategic guidance to Leadership, Project Teams and Project Managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with experience managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will develop efficient strategies and tactics while overseeing the progress of program projects and establish program management processes and guidelines, mentoring team members on these processes. HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Responsibilities
Manage programs within the assigned area to deliver expected outcomes. Provide strategic guidance to Leadership, Project Teams and Project Managers. Develop and implement program management processes and guidelines. Mentor team members on program management practices. Monitor progress of program projects and adjust strategies as needed to ensure timely delivery. Experience / Qualifications
Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in CIS/CS, Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Management preferred, or a relevant field. Knowledge and ability to effectively utilize project portfolio management tools and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project). Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred. 10+ years of relevant IS project/program management experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills and sensitivity to organizational politics. Excellent problem-solving ability. Excels in interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods. Specialized knowledge of best practices for project/program management and familiarity with related technologies. Must have the ability to communicate complex technical information in an easy-to-understand way. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group and C-suite level situations. Ability to respond to questions from managers, customers, and other employees of the organization. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret charts and graphs. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Benefits
