Overview

Support Specialists provide daily support to the Individuals in their homes. Provide support in ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) including hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, attending medical appointments, participating in community activities, etc. Varied work schedules. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include providing daily support to individuals in their homes and assisting with ADLs such as hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, attending medical appointments, participating in community activities, etc. Varied work schedules. Qualifications MAP certification is required for most positions. May be given six months to achieve this certification. Must be able to work at least one weekend day. Must be at least 18 years old with at least a high school diploma (or GED). Must have a drivers license and ready access to reliable transportation. Complete daily electronic documentation, including log notes, data collection on behavior and ISP goals, Incident Reports, etc. Some locations require Safety-Care certification. Some locations require ASL fluency.
