As we continue our rapid growth, we’re seeking an Account Executive who will own a segment of Port\'s mid-market territories. Partnering with our Sales team, you\'ll craft your own pipeline and work with our Sales Engineers to secure deals ranging from five to seven figures. You should be comfortable leading pivotal deals, managing a diverse portfolio, and laying the groundwork for future teammates. You\'ll listen to and engage with engineers — our primary buyers — and navigate technical dialogues and decision-making. The role requires a blend of best sales practices, in-depth sales expertise, and a drive to close significant deals quickly. What you’ll do
Identify and nurture leads, turning them into high-impact opportunities. Build and strengthen relationships with buyers, understanding their needs and priorities to simplify and expedite the deal process. Lead deal closures, including negotiations and procurement activities. Update CRM with vital customer information, forecasts, and pipeline data. Craft and implement plans to meet revenue goals monthly, quarterly, and annually. Engage with technical stakeholders to uncover opportunities for Port to enhance engineering initiatives. Collaborate with Sales Engineers and the executive team to establish and nurture connections across major accounts. Work with Engineering to champion introduction of innovative features that reinforce Port\'s value proposition. Who you’ll work with
Collaborate with Sales Engineers, fellow Account Executives, and our SDR team. You\'ll participate in sales forecasting meetings and partner with sales leads, VP of Sales, CEO, and CTO. You\'ll also work cross-functionally with Marketing and Engineering to drive outcomes. We value a collaborative culture that emphasizes customer focus and continuous innovation. Requirements
Proven experience in achieving quotas, with a benchmark of $1M+ ARR annually. Consistent activity, robust pipeline development, and quota accomplishments. Approximately 5 years of sales experience, ideally in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, databases, or business intelligence. Solutions-focused sales approach with the ability to manage multifaceted sales processes. Excellent presentation and listening skills; strong organizational and contact-management abilities. Proactive in understanding technical nuances and confident in steering technical conversations with stakeholders at all levels. Seniority level
