A leading independent tax firm, with a global presence through its international association, is seeking an Office Assistant for its Old Greenwich, CT office. This role involves administrative work and support for tax professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare packages for tax professionals
- Accept deliveries and mail for prompt distribution
- Track and monitor office supplies, including replenishment and purchasing
- Maintain pantry supplies and coordinate weekly orders
- Process vendor invoices, certified mailing, and overnight mailing
- Set up and reset conference rooms for meetings and events
- Provide administrative support to staff on a day-to-day basis
- Welcome visitors and escort them to the proper office
- Cover reception desk as needed and manage phone calls
- Respond to inquiries from staff, visitors, clients, or vendors
- Communicate with the IT Helpdesk on technical issues
- Draft and finalize correspondence or memoranda
- Perform other related work as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of experience in office support or administration
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, systems, and equipment
- Basic to comprehensive knowledge of computer information systems and software
- Ability to make independent decisions based on knowledge of operations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to maintain discretion with sensitive/confidential information
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy boxes (20 lbs)
Compensation:
Pay Rate: $30 – $32/hr, DOE
