The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for maintaining inventory position and accuracy, collaborating with Operations personnel on day-to-day tasks and projects, shipping, receiving, and warehousing of materials based out of our Atlanta warehouse (specifically in Austell, GA).
This position works out of the Austell, GA facility - it is not remote.
Gigstreem is a US based Internet Service Provider, serving Residential (Single Family, MDU) and Commercial (multi-dwelling unit) clients with technology solutions in markets across the country.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participating in the implementation of structured Supply Chain theory as we develop best practices as a department
Establishing the KPIs and Metrics surrounding warehouse operations, inventory position, project fulfillment rate, project fulfillment on-time performance, etc
Managing a Six Sigma-style implementation surrounding inventory accuracy / Inventory position as we dial–in our material process guardrails
Handling the sourcing of warehouse stocking and specialty items, assessing market conditions and negotiating with vendors
Managing (fulfilling and shipping) the daily material requests associated with our active project sites, both physically and virtually
Pick, pack, ship, and adjust inventory systems for adhoc material requests and for strategic material shipments
Perform warehouse SKU reorganizations to facilitate product flow and storage
Managing the numerous company project storage units and containers from open/material delivery to close/ material pickup (Packrats/Storage Units)
Operate as the first level of alarm for an inventory shortage, initiating reordering – while assisting to develop reporting to facilitate efforts
Performing ongoing warehouse audits to catch inventory misalignments and low-stock situations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong organizational skills: You must be able to manage multiple projects / clients simultaneously and coordinate with internal teammates to provide satisfactory results
Reporting and Analysis: Occasionally build and deliver reporting on logistical/Supply Chain performance, analyzing key metrics and summarizing for stakeholder feedback. Report internally on ongoing shipping issues to root cause and improve
Must have 3+ years of Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations/Analytics experience; or a Bachelors in Supply Chain, Statistics, Business Management and any other applicable business-related degree
General understanding and experience in Warehouse management / ERP systems
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Sense of urgency: bias for taking action. Self-starting capability required to achieve high expectations in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail: You are comfortable going deep into the weeds while always considering the bigger picture
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Career Mindset: A desire to develop as a Supply Chain Professional with long term growth in mind
Software experience: Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic macros), WMS systems, TMS systems, Basic SQL Querying/Modeling
Specific experience that would be beneficial: Business Analysis, Inventory Management, Procurement, Logistics Shipment Tracking and tracing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a physical warehouse environment for up to 8 hours per day
Experience operating manual pallet jacks
