This full-time position involves performing patient care duties within the scope of medical assistant licensure, assisting with treatments and procedures, and facilitating positive patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient care tasks accurately and timely, following providers' orders. Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation. Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records. Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators. Manage exam room supplies, perform daily room checks, and uphold infection control standards. Collaborate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Engage in teamwork, support new team members, and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program. Licenses and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice. Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment tasks. Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and fostering effective working relationships.
