Key Responsibilities
Perform patient care tasks accurately and timely, following provider orders. Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation. Administer immunizations under supervision, adhering to legal guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records. Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators. Manage exam room supplies, perform daily room checks, and uphold infection control standards. Support a clean and safe clinical environment in collaboration with environmental services. Demonstrate adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to ongoing learning and development. Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from an accredited certified medical assistant program is necessary.
Experience and Certifications
Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques. Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently with sound judgment.
