Our client is seeking a Turnaround Planner to work within their facilities located in Gonzales, Louisiana for a over 12 months assignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
·
Ability to read and understand P&IDs, ISO’s, piping isometrics, fixed equipment design packages, and pipe specs.
·
Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) OneNote, SAP, Primavera P6.
·
Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME Sec. I, and ASME Sec. VIII
·
10+ years’ experience in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, preferably with experience in industrial outages, exchangers, pumps, hydrotesting and pipe fabrication
·
5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Planner.
·
Previous experience building execution work packages with detailed work plans including safety matrix, picture, P&ID, isometric, bill of material, etc.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Lead assigned portion of outage scope through planning and construction
·
Develop scope for assigned work orders within the outage, identifying secondary and/or support disciplines required.
·
Create detailed planning activities for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable.
Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.
·
Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
·
Create job planning packages for each work order per company guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g., bid events, contractor field personnel, etc.
Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
·
Support company process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
·
Provide contractor field management in all outage phases for assigned contractors, including safety, timesheet verification, field oversight, change orders, and QC verification.
·
Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas.
·
Complete close out and documentation as required by company standards and procedures.
PERFORMANCE STANDARD:
·
Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines. Travel may be required as much as 25-45% depending on projects
·
