Quest Group is actively recruiting a Senior Accountant for a rapidly growing, multi-unit restaurant organization with over 350 locations nationwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team and play a critical role in supporting their financial integrity and growth.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and analyzing financial data across multiple restaurant locations. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work directly with the Controller and VP.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports for 350+ restaurant locations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, with a focus on high-volume transaction accounts (sales, cash, inventory, payroll, etc.).
- Partner with operations to analyze restaurant-level performance and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in accounting workflows.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and accounting clerks.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models as needed.
- Stay current on industry best practices, financial regulations, and restaurant accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or pursuing CPA preferred).
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-unit retail or restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with high-volume reconciliations and multi-entity consolidations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
