Job Title: EP Tech Profession: EP Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN, ARRT/RTR or RCIS Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Critical Care/EP experience Description: Unit Profile: The unit consists of Electrophysiology labs with a total of three beds. There are two dedicated Electrophysiology labs and one hybrid OR. The patient ratio is set at 1:1. The unit is ideally staffed with a lead tech, RN, and ARRT/RTR, RCIS forming 3-4 person teams with two techs and two RNs. The type of equipment used includes Boston Scientific, BioSense Webster Carto, Medtronic, and Baylis/VersaCross. Documentation systems utilized are EPIC Cupid and MacLab. Staff work four 10-hour shifts with the possibility of late stays. Floating policies are in effect, transferring staff as necessary. Experience in ICU or ER is a requirement for this position. Requested Skill Set: Candidates should have experience in critical care medication management and electrophysiology. Experience with procedures such as ablation and pacemaker implants and removals is essential. Types of procedures performed on this unit include atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter ablations, SVT and VT ablations (both RF and Cryo), as well as pacemaker and ICD implants, including single, dual, bi-ventricular, micra, and subcutaneous devices, along with lead extractions. Dress code requires royal blue and black for RNs and navy blue and black for techs.
