Position Details Specialty: Pharmacist – Inpatient Setting: Acute Care / Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics (may include Pediatrics depending on facility) Contract Type: 13 Weeks (Travel or Temp Assignment) Schedule: Variable shifts, weekends, and on-call as needed Certifications & Licensure Required: Active, unrestricted State Pharmacist License (in state of practice) BLS Certification Preferred: PharmD degree Board Certification (BCPS or equivalent) Experience Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required Familiarity with automated dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis, Omnicell) Experience with EPIC or other major EMR systems preferred Core Responsibilities Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness Prepare, compound, and dispense medications (including IV admixtures, TPN, chemotherapy, and high-risk meds) Monitor drug therapy, adjust dosages, and provide recommendations to medical staff Ensure compliance with formulary and hospital medication protocols Provide clinical consultations to physicians, nurses, and patients Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily operations Maintain accurate records for controlled substances per DEA regulations Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds when required Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and interactions Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations (Joint Commission, CMS, USP / ) Key Skills Strong knowledge of pharmacology, dosing, and therapeutic monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital setting Knowledge of IV compounding, aseptic technique, and infection control standards Additional Notes COVID-19 & Flu Vaccination requirements apply per facility policy All RTO (Requested Time Off) must be declared at the time of submission
