On our Cybersecurity team, Senior Account Executives are trusted advisors, skilled storytellers, and sharp strategists. You’ll partner with leading-edge brands across threat intelligence, cloud security, incident response, identity, and beyond. You bring 3–5 years of agency PR experience with direct cybersecurity experience and thrive on turning complex topics into media-ready narratives.

What You'll Do

• Media & Influencer Relations: Lead media strategy and execution for cybersecurity clients, maintaining relationships with 10+ reporters across business, trade, and cybersecurity outlets. Craft proactive pitches that drive high-quality coverage and thought leadership. Identify new media trends and journalists and share insights across the agency. Drive influencer engagement and content campaigns across digital and social platforms. Use social channels to boost client visibility and executive voice. Measure ROI of PR programs and optimize initiatives. Coach junior staff on cybersecurity media strategies.
• Client Service & Program Management: Own tactical execution of cybersecurity PR elements (media relations, analyst engagement, thought leadership, speaking, content). Lead weekly client calls, provide strategic counsel, and manage projects from kickoff to delivery. Develop quarterly cybersecurity campaign plans and monitor industry developments for timely commentary. Support client media training and assist with budgets and resource allocation.
• Writing & Content Development: Write and edit cybersecurity-focused content (thought leadership, press releases, contributed pieces, speaking abstracts, award nominations, analyst briefings). Ensure technical accuracy, industry nuance, and relevance. Create timely narratives that translate technical topics for media and business audiences.
• Insights, Analytics & Integration: Lead results reporting and campaign measurement, use data to refine strategies, and collaborate across teams for integrated service delivery (AI, design, content, social). Identify AI tools to improve precision and efficiency.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Mentor junior staff and foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture. Lead by example through proactive collaboration and professional conduct.
• Agency Engagement & Operations: Contribute to new business initiatives, write for Highwire’s blog, and engage with agency social channels. Attend security conferences and networking events; share ideas to improve culture and workflows.

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of PR/communications experience in an agency setting (required).
• Direct experience with cybersecurity clients or within the security industry.
• Strong media relationships across tech, business, and security outlets.
• Ability to translate complex cybersecurity topics into compelling media narratives.
• Excellent writing, editing and content development skills.
• Experience managing client communications, priorities, and deliverables.
• Confidence using analytics tools and reporting on performance metrics.
• Collaborative, curious, client-first mindset.
