Operating Room Nurse Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800–$1840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state (required for Kansas nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (surgical or procedural experience preferred)
• Charge nurse or nursing leadership experience highly desirable
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply

Charge RN Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Operating Room nursing team during assigned shifts
• Oversee patient care for diverse surgical procedures: trauma, cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and more
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
• Mentor and support staff development for new and existing team members
• Facilitate communication between surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech
• Promote a positive, collaborative culture focused on patient safety and quality healthcare outcomes
