• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Available for 2 of 3 major winter holidays
• Patient Ratio: 1:9
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Any color
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880–$2020

Pediatric RN Qualifications

• Active New Jersey or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience and long-term care experience (adult or pediatric)
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Clinical skills in trach care, feeding tube management, hoyer lift use, complex wound care, ostomy care, Foley catheter insertion, infection prevention, isolation precautions, ventilator management, NG tube insertion/management, tube feedings, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Professional references required

Pediatric RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in a long-term acute care setting
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:9, caring for infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients with diverse diagnoses
• Operate specialized equipment including trach, feeding tubes, and hoyer lifts
• Perform complex wound care, ostomy care, and assist with ventilator management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Follow infection prevention and isolation protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Complete required orientation and training modules
• Work every other weekend and be available for major winter holidays as needed
