  • Start Date: November 9, 2025
  • End Date: January 25, 2026
  • Contract Duration: 11 weeks
  • Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:30 – 17:00)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2550–$2610 per week
  • Weekend Requirement: On-call every 4th weekend
  • Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
  • Daily Census: 6–30 surgical cases; 8 operating rooms

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin (required at time of application)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
  • Prior travel nursing or locum tenens experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
  • Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Proficiency in a variety of surgical procedures: general, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, and robotic surgeries
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Compliance with all onboarding and credentialing requirements

OR RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care in the operating room
  • Assist with surgical procedures including abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, joint replacement, appendectomy, C-sections, robotic surgeries, and more
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
  • Participate in bedside shift reporting, hourly rounding, and utilize AIDET communication techniques
  • Follow infection control, fire safety, and universal protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, etc.)
  • Float to other hospital units as needed
  • Meet barcode scanning compliance standards
