ER RN Job Details

• Location: Thomasville, Georgia 31792 (South Georgia healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Level III Trauma Center, 24-bed Emergency Department
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (potential for extension)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00), including some weekends and holidays
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Patient Ratio: 4:1

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (Georgia or compact state)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing or locum tenens experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS (current and valid)
• Proficiency with EMR systems (PICIS & Soarian Clinicals preferred)
• Ability to wear royal blue scrubs (not provided)
• Must provide references, skills checklist, updated NURSYS, and proof of residence (must live at least 31 miles from facility)

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform triage, IV starts, telemetry, conscious sedation, and ventilator management
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Assist with special procedures: procedural sedation, arterial line setup, central line setup, I&D setup, chest tube setup, restraints, pacemaker interrogation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Float to support critical access hospitals within the region as needed
• Complete orientation and required training modules prior to assignment start
