Travel ICU RN Job Details:
- Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse – Critical Care Float Pool (Travel RN)
- Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
- Healthcare Setting: Academic Medical Center
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026)
- Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $1990
- Patient Population: Adult critical care
- Float Policy: Float to Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, and more
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Ohio or compact state license required at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficient in EPIC charting system
- Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Ability to provide two professional references (one from a nurse manager, director, or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
ICU RN Responsibilities:
- Float between various intensive care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill adult patients
- Initiate and manage IVs, telemetry monitoring, ventilators, and advanced cardiac drips
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, post-transplant, and complex diagnoses
- Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
- Maintain compliance with credentialing and fingerprinting requirements
