ER RN Job Details – Millen, GA

• Location: Millen, Georgia 30442
• Facility Type: Community hospital, 4-bed Emergency Department
• Position Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 12, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), blocked scheduling
• Schedule: Alternates weekly between 3x12-hour and 4x12-hour shifts; every other weekend required
• Hours per week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570-$1610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license (Georgia or compact state; must be in hand at submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (required)
• CPI certification preferred but not required
• Experience with electronic charting systems (CSPI preferred; training provided)
• Prior community hospital experience required
• First-time travel nurses accepted (must have ED experience)
• Ability to work independently; may serve as sole RN in ER with support from Med-Surg floor staff

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics)
• Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 4-bed Emergency Room
• Perform triage, assessment, and emergency treatment for trauma, acute illness, mental health crises, and more
• Administer emergency medications, IV therapy, and advanced procedures (chest tube management, intubation, EKG interpretation)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services)
• Accurately document patient care using the hospital’s charting system
• Maintain infection control standards and isolation precautions
• Participate in blocked scheduling and work every other weekend as required
