Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 3485) at GameStop. Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. The role develops and promotes a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest and providing outstanding guest service experiences through professional conduct and a shared passion for gaming. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are easy to see and buy, building sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, providing a clean, organized environment in which to shop, and growing guest loyalty and repeat business. This position supervises Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors during every transaction, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the shopping environment and visual/operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately and professionally. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies and guidelines. Monitor associate performance and provide feedback to ensure alignment with company expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document performance in the HR system as required. Ensure onboarding and training is completed before opening or closing shifts; knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Assist with scheduling and staffing to maintain optimal guest service; supervise in the Store Manager’s absence. Review payroll, manage paid time off requests, and verify accurate compensation. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandise presentation; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipping. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices; inspect packages at close and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure representation and organization of products on the sales floor. Reconcile daily transaction totals and complete closeout paperwork; manage cash and deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies and conduct counts/inventories; report discrepancies to management. Process defectives/ recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain safety awareness for associates and guests; report injuries per guidelines. Assist in maintaining store records/files and policy manuals. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Adhere to opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine, individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Meet performance expectations for attendance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate POS system and perform basic math and inventory tasks. Complete required paperwork properly and follow written or diagrammed instructions. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Remain reliable and trustworthy; manage pressure and problem-solve to protect guest experience. Ability to stand and move for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
