Overview

Construction Management Business Class Director (Water Business Group) at HDR. This role provides national strategic focus to position HDR as a preferred provider for construction services in the water infrastructure industry. The Director leads CM business development, project delivery, and group leadership/communications for the Water Business Group, and reports to the WBG Service Delivery Director. Responsibilities

Business Development: Maintain market intelligence on industry competition, potential partners, acquisitions and/or new hires. Capture HDR and competitor SOQs, proposals, presentations, and scopes of work with associated fees. Ensure regions maintain CM pursuit target lists and client maintenance plans relevant to CM delivery. Support capture planning, pre-proposal visits, qualifications, and proposal preparation to create a more formulaic approach to HDR CM business development and client interaction. Provide marketing support on pursuits to elevate HDR’s selection hit rate. Maintain a List of Major CM or PM/CM or OA/CM Projects. Maintain Tool Kit, SharePoint sites, and promote best practices/tools across the Business Group. Implement presentation/interview training workshops for Senior Construction Managers. Project Delivery: Capture/disseminate CM delivery lessons learned. Ensure use of HDR best practices, templates, and protocol for more consistent CM delivery coast to coast. Collaborate with other BCDs on delivery of existing projects and develop long-term tactical plans for the water construction services program. Provide principal-level project management and issue resolution when needed. Track project delivery costs against budget and incorporate lessons learned into future scope/fee development. Maintain CM/CI resources and provide CM resource planning across the Business Group. Lead PARR reviews and train additional staff to be Lead Reviewers; attend reviews as needed. Perform site audits to verify CM protocol and address owner feedback. Promote the use of RAKEN Field Reporting App and coordinate HDR’s licensing and renewal. Promote and administer Newforma Construction Administration (Newforma CA) software for workflows and dashboards. Serve as the WBG point of contact for CMIS questions. Update and maintain the HDR Construction Management Manual, CM Procedures/Forms, and Field Checklists for access/use across the Business Group. Leadership and Communications: Reinvigorate the CM Practice Community with regular calls and broadcasts of wins and lessons learned. Collaborate with Field Services Communications Director, Construction Services Director, other CM Business Class Directors, SH&E Director, Field Services Client Development Lead, Project Controls Director, and CCC Director of Operations; participate in Field Services Steering Committee. Lead CMAA engagement; represent HDR as a CMAA Board member, coordinate dues, sponsorships, project nominations, and CCM designation encouragement. Ensure staff development with a CM training plan, protocol, and sessions. Qualifications and Professional Requirements: Maintain a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 15+ years in managing construction delivery programs for water infrastructure. PE or related professional certifications desirable. Location flexible to any US HDR office. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field. Minimum 10 years of related field experience. Professional registration and related technical experience. Experience in development and management of diverse teams. Ability to work cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers on business class efforts. Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and HDR values. Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is required. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 15+ years in water infrastructure construction delivery; PE or related certifications desirable. What We Believe and Our Commitment

The compensation range for this position is $163,422–$324,250 depending on skills, experience, education and location.
