Overview The Product Owner II is responsible for the technical life cycle of the products they have been assigned, including coordinating development efforts, configuration changes, and support. The Product Owner II is responsible for documenting technical requirements, building product roadmaps, and budgeting associated with the products they oversee. The Product Owner II will collaborate with internal stakeholders, developers, and vendors regularly to deliver new products and enhance existing products that meet the documented business objectives of the products they support. The Product Owner II will coordinate the lifecycle of their product through the Agile Practices.
What You Will Be Doing
Understand business and end-user needs; identify and prioritize features to meet those needs
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure development efforts remain aligned with business objectives, the product vision, and user needs
Facilitate stakeholders’ inspection & reviews of delivered functionality, lead planning sessions to clarify priorities, and maintain transparent communication throughout the development lifecycle
Negotiate deliverables based on team capacity and learning; adapt plans iteratively to reflect evolving priorities and validated outcomes
Develop near and long-term rolling-wave product roadmaps in collaboration with business owners; refine the roadmap based on stakeholder input, delivery data, and validated learnings
Define and track key product success metrics to evaluate value delivery, inform prioritization, and communicate outcomes to stakeholders
Leverage understanding of product strengths and weaknesses to maximize value delivery and inform stakeholders of potential improvements
Analyze end user feedback and operational metrics to identify and understand product needs
Direct and oversee the lifecycle of two or more products by independently managing and prioritizing their backlogs, ensuring a steady flow of user stories 1–2 weeks in advance
Collaborate with business owners and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories from the user’s perspective
Collect and understand technical requirements for new implementations and enhancements to ensure technical runway, minimize debt, and maintain product stability
Prioritize non-functional backlog items (performance, scalability, maintainability) to support sustainable development
Assist the team with the development of test cases
Manage vendor relationships and assist with review and negotiation of contracts with business stakeholders
Ensure the product is compliant with regulatory and security requirements; plan and complete upgrades to maintain standards and controls
About You
Ability to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs
Ability to create a product strategy that aligns with measurable business outcomes
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to varied stakeholders
Facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision-making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives
Experience in an Agile environment (Kanban or Scrum)
Strong organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proven knowledge of product management tools like Azure DevOps or Jira
Proficiency with process flow/documentation tools (e.g., Lucidchart)
Proven knowledge of UI mockup/design tools (e.g., Figma)
Ability to travel to complete responsibilities and attend approved seminars/education
What You Will Need
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of product owner experience in an Agile environment
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of the Financial Industry, products, and services
Credit Union experience preferred
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I), or equivalent foundational certification required
AIPMM Agile PO/PM (ACPMPO) or ICP-APO or equivalent preferred; MuleSoft certification preferred

Tukwila, WA : $97,915.62 - $146,873.43
Lynnwood, WA : $93,060.30 - $139,590.45
