Senior Director – Sales (Target + Club Accounts)
We’re looking for a results-driven Senior Director of Sales to drive growth and expand our partnerships with Target and Club retailers. This role is focused on accelerating growth in apparel through strategic category expansion, targeted sales initiatives, and strong retail partnerships. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the mass and club retail space, with a strong track record of securing new business and scaling existing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Drive strategic growth for Target and Club accounts by identifying new business opportunities across categories and product types
Leverage existing relationships and industry insight to expand market share and build long-term, scalable programs
Develop tailored sales strategies and go-to-market plans that align with each retailer’s priorities and consumer profile
Lead new business pitches, assortment presentations, and seasonal growth plans
Cultivate strong relationships with buyers and senior stakeholders at Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, and other key accounts
Collaborate with internal design, sourcing, and merchandising teams to build compelling assortments that meet retailer needs and drive sales
Lead pricing strategy, margin management, and costing discussions to optimize business outcomes
Analyze sell-through, margin, and market data to inform product strategy and future growth plans
Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure flawless execution from development through delivery
Translate retailer goals and feedback into actionable direction for product and sourcing teams
Stay current on account-specific tools, systems, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
10+ years of business development or sales experience in the apparel industry, with direct experience working with Target and/or Club retailers
Strong understanding of private label and apparel business models, costing frameworks, and large-scale retail operations
Proven success in driving new revenue streams and expanding key accounts
Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with experience influencing senior retail buyers
Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting tools
Comfortable navigating high-volume, high-SKU environments
Highly collaborative and adaptable in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Compensation & Benefits
The approximate annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $130,000, plus commission, depending on experience and qualifications
