Manager, Gas Restoration (Eastern MA)

Eversource Energy The Manager of Gas Restoration is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the restoration of gas service following planned or emergency outages. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and timely restoration of service while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. The manager leads a team of field personnel and collaborates with internal departments, emergency services, and external stakeholders. Essential Functions: Supervise daily operations related to gas restoration, including scheduling, dispatching, and field crew management. Manage, train, and develop a team of gas restoration supervisors, paving coordinators, and support staff. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Communicate with customers, municipalities, emergency responders, and regulatory agencies during restoration events. Develop and maintain emergency response and restoration plans. Analyze restoration data and prepare reports on performance, compliance, and improvement opportunities. Manage budgets and resource allocation for restoration operations. Qualifications: Demonstrated leadership capabilities involving managing groups, using information from groups effectively, motivating employees, valuing individual contributions, and creating a sense of team. Responsible for leading and communicating with employees in an honest, fair, and timely manner using sound judgment. Manages department personnel development, training, and performance management. Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience is required. Minimum of ten (10) years of electric and/or gas utility or related experience is required. Valid Motor Vehicle Operator license is required. Working Conditions: Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. Compensation and Benefits: Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive.
