We represent a U.S.-based industrial automation manufacturer specializing in the design and production of custom conveyor systems and robotic integrations. Our fully equipped manufacturing facility handles everything from concept design to system installation, serving industries such as food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, packaging, cosmetics, and more. We’re looking for driven professionals ready to join a fast-paced, hands-on engineering team dedicated to delivering reliable, high-performance automation solutions. Position Summary
We are hiring an
Automation Engineer
to support the design, programming, and deployment of custom automation systems. This role involves PLC and HMI programming, control system integration, on-site commissioning, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering and production teams. Responsibilities
Design and implement industrial control systems for conveyors and robotic automation equipment Program and debug PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMIs Integrate motors, drives, sensors, actuators, and safety components into control systems Work closely with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure system performance Conduct on-site installations, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning Provide technical support to field technicians and customers Maintain accurate system documentation including schematics and operational manuals Support R&D and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and industrial HMI development Understanding of industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, etc.) Familiarity with robotics integration is a strong plus (e.g., Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layouts Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal) Willing to travel for site installations and commissioning (mostly domestic) Strong problem-solving and communication skills Skills
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Knowledge of UL508A control panel standards Fluency in English and Spanish
for technical and customer-facing communication Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., FDA, GMP) What’s Offered
