Job Description ASSISTANT AUTOMOTIVE STORE MANAGER The Assistant Manager is a full-time, hourly position. The Assistant Manager is a key holder for the store and serves as the manager on duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager or when demand requires it. The role supports managing the operations of an automotive retail service and repair store to meet service standards and Monro’s performance and profitability goals. The position ensures teammates deliver exceptional 5-star service, effective communication of vehicle issues and solutions, and timely, quality service.
Responsibilities
Schedule guest appointments for efficient technician utilization and timely completion of vehicle services/repairs. Help achieve sales goals by informing and recommending tire and service products and promotions. Attend to guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments. Build guest relationships to maximize customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. Assist technicians in conveying repair and service needs to guests. Maintain store condition and cleanliness to Monro standards and guest-ready condition. Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking. Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services/repairs as needed. Organize store workflow to optimize technician skill use and timely completion per Monro standards. Adhere to company policies, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards; maintain safety practices. Perform Store Manager functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High school or GED equivalent. 2+ years of automotive and sales experience. Valid Driver License. Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent communication skills and basic math to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, etc. Guest and team-focused mindset. Background checks applicable for positions with security/financial responsibilities; criteria consider nature and relevance of the crime to the role. Preferred Qualifications
Automotive State Inspector License. ASE Automotive Certifications. Proven automotive or quick-lube sales experience. Leadership experience.
