Overview
Zurich North America is seeking an
AVP, General Liability Claims Manager
to lead a high-performing team within our General Liability Specialty Team. You will oversee claim operations across Captives, Excess & Surplus, Direct Markets, and Multinational programs, partnering with other AVPs to develop initiatives and strategies, work on National Projects, and serve as a subject matter expert to the underwriting team regarding product developments or enhancements while ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will coordinate the work activities of the team, with accountability for performance, development, and coaching of staff to maximize contributions and drive operational improvements. This role has clear accountability for business results and manages internal and external customer relationships. Work Model and Locations
Zurich North America Claims offers a hybrid work model emphasizing flexibility. Occasional in-office attendance may be required. The selected candidate may report to an eligible North American Claims office on a hybrid schedule: Parsippany, NJ; New York, NY; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Omaha, NE; Overland Park, KS; Gold River, CA; or Schaumburg, IL. Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
Juris Doctor and 8+ years of experience in the Claims area OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of experience in the Claims area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 11+ years of experience in the Claims area AND 3+ years of management experience Customer service experience Experience with Microsoft Office Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures Travel 25% or more Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in Primary General Liability Claims, Captives, Excess & Surplus, Direct Markets, and Multinational Programs Experience with leading leaders Experience with change management tools/methodologies Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Ability to build strong relationships and establish rapport Successful implementation of process changes Negotiation experience Experience collaborating across work groups In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance legal and regulatory environment Excellent communication skills Analytical skills Advanced degree AIC SCLA CPCU Compensation and Benefits
compensation for roles is influenced by factors including office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Zurich commits to providing a fair and reasonable compensation range for each role. The proposed salary range for this position is
$113,100.00 - $185,100.00 , with short-term incentive bonus eligibility of
