Overview
Western Connecticut State University’s School of Professional Studies is accepting applications for two (2) tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Nursing. Responsibilities
Teach courses across the nursing program per the department chair’s discretion; may include didactic and/or clinical practice with students. Maintain current clinical practice. Participate in departmental and university committees; engage in professional activity and scholarship. Participate in advising and mentoring students; assist with curriculum development and accreditation efforts; contribute to NCLEX pass rates; collaborate with other departments and across the curriculum. Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Nursing with relevant educational and clinical experience. For Assistant level, a doctoral degree in Nursing or related field (Ph.D., Ed.D., or DNS) required at tenure review. Current Connecticut RN license at hire. Experience in Medical/Surgical and/or Pediatric nursing; ability to teach across curriculum preferred. Participation in departmental and university service, curriculum development, advising, and mentoring expected. Salary & Benefits
