1st Shift/ EST - Monday to Friday between 6:00 AM-5:30 PM; alternating Saturdays 7:00 AM-12:00 PM
Job Summary As a
Phlebotomist III - Floater , you'll serve as the face of the company across multiple locations, delivering compassionate, accurate blood draws to patients and preparing specimens for lab analysis. This dynamic role involves rotating among several sites and may include leadership, mentoring, and onboarding responsibilities for new staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities • Perform skilled, safe, and accurate blood specimen collections • Prepare specimens following established protocols and safety practices • Rotate across West Hartford, Wethersfield, East Hartford, and Berlin sites • Maintain patient trust and clearly explain procedures • Lead daily operations and direct other staff as needed • Train, mentor, and onboard new hires and client accounts • Handle high-volume and/or high-complexity phlebotomy environments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Billing, Logistics, IT) • Maintain compliance with confidentiality and process excellence standards
Required Experience • Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric • Keyboard/data entry proficiency
Nice-to-Have Experience • 3+ years in PSC (Patient Service Center) or IOP (In-Office Phlebotomy) • Customer service experience in retail or service environments
Required Skills • Blood collection (venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, geriatric) • Time management across multiple locations • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Skills • Medical assistant or paramedic training • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA - preferred elsewhere)
Additional Skills • Conflict resolution in clinical settings • Familiarity with lab data systems
